Carolyn Hudnall, a valued and respected member of the EWU family and faculty member in the School of Social Work, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013. A celebration of Carolyn’s life was held, Jan. 20.
Carolyn joined the EWU faculty in 2000 as Director of the Everett Part-Time MSW Program. Carolyn was devoted to her students and was an outstanding teacher. She earned a BA in psychology from Whitworth College and Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia. Carolyn’s background included a rich history of social work practice with individuals and families in a wide range of roles including caseworker, therapist and agency administrator. She was devoted to the most vulnerable in our society: street-involved adolescents, high risk young adults, victims of sexual assault and children and families in the child welfare system. She was our friend and colleague for more than 12 years. She will be greatly missed.
