April 10: TRiO Day, Clothing Drive

EWU’s TRiO programs and the EWU TRiO Club are sponsoring a clothing drive to benefit the local Cheney Clothing Bank. The goal is to “Fill Up The Mall” through collection of clothing between March 11 and April 10. On April 10, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., the TRiO Club will host a party on the campus mall where all of the clothes collected will be displayed. The event will include a DJ pumping out the tunes and a Thrift Store Photo Booth.

If you have clean, reusable clothes you would like to donate, drop them off in the silver boxes available throughout EWU’s Cheney campus. Clothing may also be brought to the April 10 event for donation. Highly requested items include new, unused socks and undergarments. The Cheney Clothing Bank provides all its clothing to consumers free of charge.

April 10 is also National TRiO Day. As part of the festivities, TRiO will be celebrating in Hargreaves Hall, room 201, from 2-4 p.m. Stop in to learn more about TRiO, see what TRiO students are doing in the community and to support TRiO – and, of course, to partake of the cake that they will have, too!
