Wednesday, Aug. 21: Annual Active Shooter Training Exercise

The EWU Police Department is holding its Annual Active Shooter Training Exercise Wednesday, Aug. 21, from noon-8 p.m.

This is a regional, multi-agency event hosting city, state and county police and fire departments. The event will be held in the city of Cheney at Cheney Middle School with the command center located at the EWU Police Department on campus.  Please note this is a training exercise and there will be increased police and fire activities between noon and 8 p.m. on this date.

Mission: The Eastern Washington University Police Department shall serve the public by providing assistance, coordination, and the delivery of law enforcement and support services for the safety and protection of life and property.

Values: The Eastern Washington University Police has been entrusted with the duties and responsibilities to assist, protect, preserve, and defend the social order of the university community. This public trust mandates that all members exemplify the highest standard of conduct while on and off duty.
