Eastern Washington University is a proud sponsor of the 2013 State of Reform Inland Northwest Health Policy Conference, which will take place Sept. 12 at the Spokane Convention Center.
The “State of Reform” is a conference focused on bridging the gap between health care policy and political reality. Organizers say: “Too often, those with good ideas for reforming health care don’t have a solid grasp of how the legislative process works. Those who understand politics don’t always have a very deep grasp of the intricacies of the health care system.
State of Reform seeks to pull together the practitioners, thought leaders, and policy makers – each working to improve our health care system in their own way – into a unified conversation in a single place.”
The inaugural Inland Northwest event will feature more than 55 speakers tackling issues such as access to health care, mental health, primary care, affordability, eligibility and healthcare costs.
