Eastern Washington University’s Occupational Therapy program will host a worldwide virtual conference in conjunction with sites in Australia and Great Britain on Oct. 25 and 26. The “Occupational Therapy 24-Hour Virtual Exchange Conference” is a free online event that gives occupational therapists, rehabilitation professionals, healthcare workers, faculty, students and others interested in healthcare, the opportunity to explore current topics in occupational therapy and rehabilitation from around the world.
“Our program would like to invite the EWU community to join the conference either online or in person. Presentations begin at the top of every hour and include a wide variety of healthcare and rehabilitation topics,” said Carrie Walker, admissions advisor for the Department of Occupational Therapy.
Those interested can join the discussion at any time online at www.ot4ot.com, or they can join the department at the Riverpoint Campus during a 24-hour viewing party in the Health Sciences Building, room 110A.
Dr. Arevalo will open the conference with a welcome speech following a faculty and student welcome ceremony. Additionally, an EWU faculty member will present during the worldwide conference.
To participate online, you need:
- a computer with Internet connection
- speakers and a microphone to hear/talk with the presenters

- Come join students & faculty, at the Riverpoint Campus, Spokane, in the Health Sciences Building, Room 110A anytime during the 24 hours.
Some presentations will be archived for later access if you can’t attend the live sessions.
