Imagine a multi-use, multi-impact, 365-day-a-year facility fronting Washington Street providing space for academics, athletics, student services and retail opportunities. The Gateway Project will enhance Eastern Washington University, creating a university living space that supports campus life, recruiting, retention and enhanced community services, while bringing the existing football stadium to a level consistent with NCAA peers.

Student Amenities

  • Creation of new student athlete academic success center
  • Dedicated space for academic programming
  • Dedicated space for marching band, instrument storage and locker room
  • Outdoor plaza, indoor lounge and study spaces
  • Campus gear store
  • Cheer squad locker room

Community Engagement

  • Multiple retail bays for student and community access (banking, convenience store, coffee, food, etc.)
  • Anchor restaurant
  • Medical/physical therapy clinic
  • Commercial office spaces
  • Community meeting spaces

Fan/Athlete Experience

  • Enhance game day capacity by 8,000 (approx. 18,000 total)
  • Luxury suites and loge suites
  • Club level seating and club lounge access
  • New and improved game day concessions
  • Hall of Fame
  • Home and visitor team locker rooms
  • Athletic and strength training facilities
  • Football operations
  • Media room
