Welcome to the EWU Student Affairs Newsletter

Winter Quarter 2013

Greetings,

We’ve had some beautiful, snowy days, as well as some gray, drab ones.  Mother Nature is keeping us on our toes, and I’m grateful for our ever-changing seasonal weather.

I’m also grateful for the hard working employees in Student Affairs and your sincere commitment to helping all our students succeed.  All our efforts, be they big or little, highly visible or everyday acts, make a difference in the lives of EWU students.  Do you know how awesome you are?  You are terrifically awesome!  Thank you.

When I work on the annual report, I’m always struck by the impact Student Affairs has on the quality of life on campus.  I hope you’ll take some time to peruse the latest issue (see the Student Affairs link to the right).  Take pride in your work and appreciate how we all work together toward our shared value of student success.

Please take note of the regular Professional Development opportunities that this newsletter highlights.  In addition to the monthly series (January’s is about Gratitude!), the Professional Development Committee has funds available for workshops and conferences.  Please see the Professional Development link on this page for information about how to apply for funds and for other activities.  Kudos to the members of this committee for their great ideas and enthusiasm.

Best wishes to all for a wonderful winter quarter,

Stacey Morgan Foster
