Toys for Tots: Campaign Underway to Help Area Children

Once again, we are proud to announce our participation in the Toys for Tots campaign. This year, the Grants Office and the new Veterans Resource Center are happy to support the local Marine Corps Reserve Battery in their efforts to bring some holiday joy to local children in need. Last year the EWU community once again stepped up by donating seven full boxes of toys and hundreds of dollars used to buy much-needed new toys.

Starting Nov. 16, the student veterans from the Veterans Resource Center will distribute Toys for Tots collection boxes throughout campus. The need is very great again this year. Please show that great Eagle spirit by donating a new, unwrapped, age-appropriate toy for children ages 0 through 12. Donations can be placed in boxes through December 20. Boxes will be picked up as needed throughout the month with the last collection on December 21.

Please call the Grants Office at 359-6567 with questions and THANK YOU!

Bring a smile to several children! Do like our office(General Advising) does and instead of exchanging traditional gifts we draw names and buy each other toys that remind us of whose name we drew…then as a group we donate them to Toys for Tots. Great Fun!

Heidi- What a great idea! Just think what would happen if a lot of departments on campus did that!! Boxes will be overflowing I am sure!
