The Regional FIRST Robotics Competition will involve 42 teams of high school students working to design, build and program customized 200-pound robots to climb pyramids and precisely toss Frisbees on a basketball court-size field of competition. An audience of thousands is expected for EWU’s second year of hosting this exciting event.
Volunteers are needed now for staffing the event, which will be held April 3-6 at EWU’s Reese Court.
Any EWU community member is welcome to participate: staff, students and faculty! There is a special and pressing need for those able to participate each of the three main competition days from Thursday, April 4, to Saturday, April 6.
In the competition, volunteers are crucial (it takes about 150 people to staff this complex event) and there are many important positions still open!
