Mark your calendars – this quarter you have two opportunities to attend the Department of Communication Studies Service Learning Showcase.
Both sessions take place Wednesday, March 13, in Tawanka Commons 215 B and C. The first showcase is 10:00-11:20 a.m., and the second is 1:00-2:20 p.m.
Students in CMST 207 Communication, Community and Citizenship combine their understanding of course content and their experiences with various populations in our community to reach a higher level of learning. They will show their final projects (videos) based on their experiences, and in which they use their public voice to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves.
Hear and ask questions about their interactions with the populations of Cheney Care Center, Cheney Assisted Living, West Central Community Center, Cheney Middle and High School AVID Program, Flaherty House, Hope House, Women’s Hearth and Boys & Girls Club of America.
Feel free to drop in, or stay for the entire presentation. Refreshments will be served. Special accommodation requests can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
