Put on your fedora and best duds and join this hotsy-totsy fundraiser in the JFK Library on Saturday, October 12 from 5-10:30 pm. This event is sure to be the bee’s knees!
We promise it won’t be a flat tire! We’ve got some great juice joints serving the best giggle water in town including Latah Creek Wineries, Walla Walla Vintners, No-Li Brewhouse, and River City Red. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served.
Enjoy a fabulous era-specific meal from EWU’s own Dining & Catering Services and Pineapple Upside-Down Cake from Marsell’s Cakes and Desserts. There is no masking the truth, everyone is guaranteed a good time… and how!
Mitch Silver is the cool cat that will be leading the live auction. Come bid on electronics, sports packages, gift baskets, fabulous stays (including Hawaii), original artwork, certificates to local restaurants and businesses, jewelry and more during the live and silent auctions. Play the “Heads or Tails” game to win cash, or take a chance on our raffle to win a quilt pieced by Elizabeth Malia and quilted by Dana Kinder of Glory “B” Quilts. Quilt raffle tickets are available now through several campus locations including the JFK Library Circulation Desk.
The Chris Grant Quartet will provide live music and the soon-to-be-named winner of the EWU Libraries’ Star Search student talent contest will provide entertainment for the evening. You might even see a flapper or two! Thank you to WestCoast Entertainment and TicketsWest for providing the $500 cash prize!
The popular wine toss will be front and center as part of the evening’s festivities and if you win a bottle, you won’t have to be on the lam . . . but being spifflicated is not allowed.
Buy your tickets online now at www.ewu.edu/oktoberfest, or drop by the JFK Library administrative office in U02 and purchase your tickets to an evening of fun! Tickets are $35 each or $175 for a reserved table of six, and student tickets are $15 each. All proceeds benefit the EWU Libraries’ Collection Endowment Fund for the purchase of library materials including books, journals, and electronic resources.
We are also on FB at https://www.facebook.com/EWULibrariesOktoberfest . Remember the theme is Roaring 20s, so have fun dressing up or come as you are.
Thank you to our gold donors, Jamie and Jackie Wolff, and our silver donors, including Charles Mutschler, Jay Rea, Dirk and Violet Lincoln, Ted and L.J. Otto and William T. Youngs. EWU Libraries couldn’t put on this great evening without all of this great support, including donors who provide underwriting and/or auction items.
