Join EWU at the Martin Luther King Jr. Unity March

Join EWU students, staff, faculty and alumni at Spokane’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity March on Monday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. Meet the EWU group inside the INB Performing Arts Center – they will be holding the EWU flag. Everyone is encouraged to show their Eagle Pride by wearing red.

Following the march, join Africana Studies and the Office of Community Engagement in honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy by serving in the Spokane community from 1-3 p.m.

There are several sites to choose from – if your department, club, class, organization or hall would like to adopt a site, each can accommodate up to 25 volunteers.

Faculty, staff and students are all encouraged to serve.

Come be a part of celebrating Dr. King by serving our local community! In Dr. King’s words, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

If you are interested in serving, sign up at: or contact Gabby Ryan at

We hope to see you there!
