More than 100 EWU students, faculty and staff filled the room for the EWU President’s Dialogues on Diversity Monday afternoon, featuring a panel presentation on the topic of community policing. See below for a full recording of the presentation, provided by ITDDS.
Five panelists, ranging from an EWU student to law enforcement officers, answered questions on their perspectives of how to keep campus safe while enhancing relationships between police enforcement officers and the campus community.
The next President’s Dialogues on Diversity is scheduled for Monday, March 6, in the Walter and Myrtle Powers Reading Room (Hargreaves 201). The topic will discuss “Islamophobia” and how EWU can foster understanding to ensure that campuses are safe learning environments for all people, regardless of culture or religion.
