The new MPAcc program was announced late June, and aims to best prepare graduates with practical skills used in the accounting workforce.
“The program will advance students’ skills to higher levels and prepare students for key leadership roles in the future,” said Arsen Djatej, PhD and professional accounting department chair.
Designed for graduates of an undergraduate accounting program, the MPAcc program’s 36-credit professional degree will increase the preparedness of graduates to pass the challenging Certified Public Accounting Examination required for professional licensure.
“Eastern’s Master of Professional Accounting enables qualified college graduates with the opportunity to earn a graduate degree as an alternative to merely completing miscellaneous courses to meet the college credit minimum (225 quarter-system or 150 semester-system credits) required to sit for the CPA exam,” said Jill Ericson, EdD and director of graduate programs for CBPA.
Applications are currently being accepted for fall admission into the MPAcc program. For more information on the qualifications, visit the MPAcc website.
