Eastern Washington University’s Young Professionals Network (EWU YPN) will host their first student and young alumni social of the year on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the EWU Spokane campus. Eastern alumni, students, faculty and staff are all encouraged to attend. Registration is $10 (only $6 for students) at alumni.ewu.edu/community. Admission includes food and beverage.
This month’s topic is “Network in Your Community.” Featured presenter Tom Simpson is one of the region’s most successful entrepreneurs and will speak about how Spokane’s economic growth and vibrant community make it a great place to network and grow your career.
“Students don’t need to wait until they graduate to connect with Eastern alumni,” said Cassie Devaney, associate director of Alumni Relations at EWU. “They have a remarkable opportunity to tap into a network of 100,000 alumni who want to help them succeed after they graduate. Now is the time to start making those connections.”
EWU YPN events are the perfect place for students, young alumni, staff, faculty and friends of Eastern to socialize while getting insider career advice. Every month community leaders, recruiters and employers attend to network with attendees and help them find internships, jobs, and to grow their network for future opportunities.
