In the Spotlight is an opportunity for the campus community to get to know one another better. The goal is to build Eastern’s community by becoming familiar with the faces of faculty and staff members.
Number of years at Eastern: Current position, since 2008 (I think)
Brief personal/professional description: First, I am married to a great man who spends his days programming on a computer. Also, I am a mom of two fabulous children, Anneke, 9, and Gustave, 7. A year ago we moved to the ‘country’ and live on 20 beautiful acres which are designated forest land. So we spend our time working on the land, planting trees and feeding chickens.
Without reservation I love where I work, the people with whom I work, and what I do. The team in the Education Department works hard to ensure students have the tools they need to be successful, and it is rewarding to be a part of this endeavor as we change where we are headed in the next few years.

If I could do anything today I would: …enjoy living in a time when there were not so many disparate views on how our systems and government are functioning. It seems if we could all agree on some basic tenets of humanity, we would be kinder to one another.
