The name has been chosen; shopping bags ordered; name tags changed; social media sites updated; pop-up shops scheduled – everything is underway for the transformation of the EWU Bookstore into the new EWU EAGLE STORE!
EWU follows the trend away from university stores that primarily sell textbooks and school supplies (although those items will still be available) to a store that sells “all things” Eastern – clothing, dog bowls, mugs and glassware, banners, grill covers, pillows, Swoop ornaments – the list is endless. EWU Eagle Store better describes what you’ll find there.
The Eagle Store will relocate from L.A. Hall to the newly remodeled PUB throughout the month of December, with a grand reopening planned for January. In the meantime, the Eagle Store has several pop-up shops scheduled: Oct. 4-5 at Nordstrom in Spokane; Oct. 10 and 16, Cheney campus mall; and Oct. 26 during the Grand Opening of the PUB. These pop-up shops offer shoppers a chance to snag the newest items before they hit the store.
The Inferno Team Shop, located in P-12, behind the concession stand at Roos Field, will be open for Eagle fans to purchase gear during home football games.
In addition to the new name, Eagle Store shoppers will enjoy an improved online shopping experience, a giant Swoop statue (to be unveiled once the store is in its new home), the Eagle Store Café – sit, relax, enjoy a cup of Joe and a “le waf,” an exclusive, artisan waffle, along with other grab-and-go goodies. EWU Dining Services will operate the café.
Even with a new look and new name, one thing will remain constant – the same great customer service and quality merchandise.
