Number of years at Eastern: Two years as a student employee, one year as a part-time hourly and 16 years as a full-time employee.
Brief personal/professional description: Kevin has always held jobs in the helping professions. He was a lifeguard as a teenager and enlisted in the Navy right out of high school to serve as a Corpsman. After getting out of the Navy, he worked for Cascade Ambulance Co. and Chelan County Fire District 3, where he achieved the Rank of EMS Capt. Kevin also served as a reserve deputy sheriff in Chelan county. He returned to school, originally at Wenatchee Valley College, with plans of becoming a high school history teacher. However, after transferring to EWU, Kevin took a work study position in the DSS office. He fell in love with Student Affairs work and rose through the ranks to become the director of the same department he once served in as a student worker.
Favorite book: Kevin is a huge comic book fan. Batman, Deadpool, Punisher, and Red Hood are his favorites.
Favorite movie: Zombieland.

Favorite restaurant: Any place that serves hot wings. The hotter the better.
Favorite vacation: Kevin stayed in a Lookout Tower in the mountains of Montana for a week with his wife, Kelli. No running water, no electricity, and it was about 50 feet in the air.
If I could do anything today I would: Hang out in the back yard with my chickens and dog.
