Today we spent time at the otc class room with the kids. This one little boy tried to get me to do his class work! We spent some time in town with the otc students and at the end of the night we all gathered in the classroom and sang songs together!

I have to say this was one of the most meaningful exsperiances in my life. We woke early to drive to Otase to help finish the water project . This project was lead by Louisa and the Ewu faculty. Louisa was born without arms and was a former patient of the OTC. She is now a leader of her community. The water project exspanded the water well to twice its former size. All the students and many of the villagers gathered at the well to help finish building the road to it. We carried buckets of dirt to fill in areas of the road that were swamp like. Many of the kids in this village would spend hours gathering water instead of going to school. The exspantion was just the first faze, we plan to pipe the water to the village one day. After we finished working the village had a celibration. All the chefs of the village were there. Everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. I had the honor of dancing with one of the chefs! It’s eye opening to be somewhere where water is not at your fingertips. The people were amazing but the living conditions leave something to be desired .
