Pathways is an exclusive opportunity for students who wish to attend Eastern Washington University and demonstrate that with additional support they can successfully complete an undergraduate program. The Pathways program is based in research and practice and was created to offer higher levels of academic support and social integration. The program provides Pathways students every opportunity for success.
When you join the Pathways program, you join a community. Here are a few ways Pathways helps students succeed at EWU.
Admission to Pathways
You must be invited to join Pathways based on your EWU application. From the pool of applicants, we look for students who show promise and are motivated to take part in a program that is structured for their success.
Students who choose to accept admission to EWU via Pathways will be required to meet the specific program obligations listed in their admissions letter. Full admission is conditional upon acceptance of the program obligations. You will be contacted if you qualify.
Space is limited for Fall 2018. Read and review your terms and conditions carefully.
Move-in day is SEPTEMBER 13! MOVE-IN STARTS AT 9 AM AND SHOULD BE COMPLETED BY 1 PM.
You will receive a schedule via email this summer. Keep your eyes on your mailbox!
Expect to hear from your peer mentor around mid-to-late June; they will send you an introduction via email. Make sure you have questions ready!
Peer mentors are students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in their own education and have the desire and the skills to help others. All mentors receive training through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), an International Mentor Training Program Certification (IMTPC).
For information on how to become a Peer mentor, contact Tracy Durbin, Program Coordinator.
