I have three sets of friends that I hang out with. There are the ones I meet in college, high school, and middle school. Each has their own way of talking. Tacoma, Sumner, and Cheney all have different ways of communication. There are certain slang and phrases that passes for one cohort but not with the other cohort. There was a time when I called a friend a “bro.” He responded “I am not your bro. I am _______ _______, your friend.” We shared a laugh but that was an experience I did not want to encounter again.
