Your dining plan is selected when you complete and submit your housing contract. Your plan will be loaded onto your account on Friday, September 16th, the first day of move-in weekend.
You can add more money to your Ála Carte account at the Tawanka Business and EagleCard Office with cash, check, or credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
Family members may call the office at 509.359.2540 or 509.359.6184 to add money to your account with a credit card.
*There is no system to add Ála Carte online.
The dining points (Ála Carte points) will transfer quarter to quarter, until end of the Spring quarter, as long as you are living in the residence halls. Ála Carte expires at the end of Spring Quarter.
We do not refund the cost of the dining plan if a student leaves University housing during the quarter. However, the student is allowed to use the remaining balances on the meal plan until the end of the academic year.
Upon cancellation of the Housing & Dining contract, students will be responsible for all housing and dining usage as defined by the EWU Housing published refund policy.
Sell points to your friend. Your friend will pay $5 transaction fee. The dining points must be transferred from your dining account to your friend’s dining account at the Dining office. Points cannot transfer to a Flex account.
Use dining points to purchase items at the Eagle Express and Morris St. Markets.
For best value, use your Meal Counts at Tawanka Main Street Dining. Open seven days a week, 7 AM to 8 PM, this is our all-you-care-to-eat style dining establishment.
You may also use your Meal Counts at the Eagle Express and Morris Street Markets at an exchange of $6 per count.
