Office of Equal Opportunity & Diversity – The goal of the EO/Diversity Office is to promote an environment that is free of discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation. Office of Global Initiatives – The Office of Global Initiatives provides comprehensive support services for international students, domestic students interested in study abroad and visiting scholars. OGI also manages Study Abroad opportunities at EWU, including developing new global programming opportunities for students, faculty, alumni and community members. The OGI team also administers the Global Connections Living Learning Community (LLC) in partnership with Housing and Residential Life. As part of this effort, OGIs student ambassadors (GAs) support new international students as they transition and integrate into the EWU community.
Disability Support Services is dedicated to the coordination of appropriate and reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities that are based upon individual needs, so that each student may receive an equal opportunity to learn, to participate in campus life, and to grow emotionally and socially, and to successfully complete a program of study that will enable them to be self supporting while remaining as independent as possible. This is facilitated through support services, information sharing, advisement, and referral when requested.
Asia University America Program – The mission statement of the Asia University America Program is a threefold commitment to students, to the institution, and to the profession. The AUAP Program is committed to providing a high quality and dynamic study abroad program for students from Asia University.
English Language Institute – The English Language Institute (ELI) offers intensive English language classes to international students before entering their academic studies in the U.S. It also offers English support classes at the graduate level for overseas students at Eastern. Since its inception in 1979, it has been a very diverse program successfully completed by students from more than 50 countries.
Pride Center – The EWU Pride Center is dedicated to providing a safe and accepting environment for all students, staff and faculty at EWU, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
Veterans Resource Center – The Veterans Resource Center provides critical service and support for our veterans; active-duty, National Guard and Reserve military personnel, their spouses and dependents. The center will assist our veterans’ transition back into civilian life as they learn to navigate the university system. It will support the unique recruitment, retention and educational needs of students whose lives are inextricably connected to the military.
