F.A.M Leads

F.A.M. Leads are currently enrolled students who guide a family cluster made up of 10 students in team-building activities, facilitated discussions, and introduce them to student engagement opportunities.

Here are our 2019 Eagle F.A.M. Leads:

Emonni Clemmons

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Emonni is a sophomore double major in Africana Studies and Health Administration. Emonni from Seattle, WA and is passionate about investing in healthcare of racial minorities by setting up clinics to serve these communities.

Emonni’s favorite part of the EWU campus are the connections she is making and the exercise she gets walking everywhere on campus.

Nathanael Elongo

Pronouns: He/Him/His

Nate is a senior Human Resource Management major from Kent, WA. Nate’s goals include earning his Masters in Business Administration and starting his own business.

Nate’s favorite part of being a student at EWU is the opportunity for all students to step outside of their comfort zones and learn, grow, and surpass their limitations.

Darinka Cereceres Reyes

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Darinka is a senior Film major from Everett, WA and Jiminez, Mexico. She plans to work her way up in the film industry with the goal of becoming an editor and producer working with content that is politically critical and is diverse in the characters, actors, and cultures represented.

Darinka’s favorite thing about EWU is the people she’s met along the way. She is really glad she met her co-workers at the Multicultural Center, friends in M.E.Ch.A (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán), and her comadres from MXC (Mayahuel Xochiquetzal Cihuapilli).

Enrique Altamirano

Pronouns: He/Him/His

Enrique is a senior Psychology major, with a minor in Business. Enrique is from Spokane, WA and hopes to use his degree to help children in the developmental stages of adolescence. Enrique’s larger goal is to give back to others.

Enrique loves that the EWU community feels like a home. His favorite part of being a student is that you can always ask a random student for help and they will always help.

Hannah Gordon

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Hannah is a senior Criminal Justice major, with minors in Sociology and Africana Studies. Hannah is from Puyallup, WA and hopes to continue her education in graduate school after EWU.

Hannah’s favorite part about being a student at Eastern are all of the campus events. Hannah enjoys that there are activities like movie nights, bingo or laser tag and when it’s sunny there is almost always something in the campus mall.

Angela-Merici Vakauta 

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Angela is a sophomore Nursing major from Federal Way, WA. She is interested in furthering her education by earning a Masters in Nursing so that she may provide equitable and culturally sensitive healthcare to future patients.

Angela’s favorite part of EWU is the welcoming atmosphere and that there is always something to do while meeting new friends. Angela enjoys making connects and feels genuinely cared for at Eastern-inside and outside of the classroom.

Heleena Horrer

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Heleena is a senior Race and Culture Studies major from Arlington, WA. Her current goal is to attend graduate school after graduation.

Heleena’s favorite thing about being a student at EWU is how easy it was to build connections with professors and other helpful staff. She also really enjoys being involved in student organizations and the leadership role she plays as the Vice President of the Native American Student Association
