If you’ve ever wanted to learn the Hawaiin language, nowis your chance. This class is a fun way to meet people who have aninterest in learning a language that has almost been forgotten.This once in a lifetime experience happens at 6:30 pm in Patterson107 on Mondays.
Taught by Donna Anderson, the course is a standard language classthat teaches you the fundamentals so that you can communicate. Thisclass is into its third week and they’ve already learned thealphabet and have begun learning sentence structure. Throughworksheets and dialogue practice the members of this class aregradually learning the language in a relaxed class format.
“I’ve always wanted to learn Hawaiin so I’m goingto start going to the class,” said Rachel Ketner, astudent.
There is quite an interest in this language as a whole which is whyEastern is proud to offer this class once a week.
