Last Monday found Eastern’s campus covered with princesses, dragons and Spongebob, as many local children trick-or-treated around the school.
For the sixth year, children from around the community were invited to participate in a Halloween celebration.
“We do an annual tour and carnival, the children make a big circle around campus and then return [to the PUB] for a carnival,” said Leslie Mowatt, presidential events coordinator. “It is a safe place for children to come and have fun.”
The excitement of the crowd was very evident as a princess said, “I love chocolate!”
“I got tootsie Rolls!” said a small mouse. And many children squealed in glee as they recieved various treats and sweets.
As for me, I was dressed up like a reporter.
