Within the month of October some of the local venues throughout Spokane have some interesting and well-known artists and bands performing. Here are a list of upcoming shows, their location, and a small bio of the bands that will be performing.
Mat Kearney- Oct. 1 @ The Big Easy-Mat Kearney was born in Eugene, OR. He started his career at California State University. Kearney then moved to Nashville to pursue his dream of Music. His style of music consists of hip-hop and folk intertwined with some pop. Mat also was one of the opening acts for last years Fray concert at the Big Easy.
Insane Clown Posse- Oct. 8 @ The Big Easy-ICP is a Metal/Rap band that put on insane live shows sometimes consisting of open fires, chainsaws, and dousing the crowd in soda pop. Sometimes the band focuses more on the performance of art more than the performance of music, but should be an interesting show despite the facts.
Jonny Lang- Oct. 10 @ The Big Easy-Lang is originally from Fargo, North Dakato. His first album, Smoking with Big Bang was released when he was only fourteen. By the Age of Fifteen he had released his first solo album Lie to Me. Jonny is a blues guitarist and a singer with incredible talent and energy.
Ill Nino- Oct. 11 @ The Big Easy-Named after a tropical storm this main stage Ozzfest band has sold more than 630,000 albums worldwide. Ill Nino is a hardcore screaming rap/metal band that will take Spokane by storm.
Boyz II Men- Oct. 14 @ The Big Easy-These guys are a singing phenomenon from Philadelphia. The singers in this band are some of the most successful R&B artist ever.
The Listening- Oct. 15 @ The Big Dipper-This band from Portland, Oregon is an indie/rock/psychedelic band that is influenced by Led Zepplin, The Beatle, and Pink Floyd.
