05/05 9:09 a.m. A male student discovered his bike was missing from a bike rack near the University Bookstore after he had left it there the previous day. He had apparently locked the bike in that location in order to take food up to his residence hall. The bike, which was a specialized mountain bike, was worth $300. No suspects have been found.
05/05 10:40 p.m. EWU Police responded to Streeter Hall to what appeared to be a domestic violence dispute between a male and female. The female had been upset about the fact that she was failing a class and a verbal altercation ensued between the male and female. No assault was committed and no arrests were made.
05/05 11:06 p.m. Three female students were parked in the Pearce Hall parking lot when one female passed out in the front seat of the vehicle and became unresponsive, apparently due to mixing alcohol with drugs. AMR responded to the scene and transported the unresponsive female to Sacred Heart Medical Center and the two other females were cited for MIP.
05/05 11:28 p.m. EWU Police assisted the Cheney Police Department when a woman who was a guest at the Holiday Inn became ill and eventually lost consciousness. There were no signs that the woman had abused alcohol or drugs. The Cheney Fire Department responded and the female was transported by AMR to Sacred Heart Medical Center.
05/06 6:49 p.m. Residence Hall staff spotted a bicyclist riding down the hill behind the water tower near Dryden Hall when the bike hit gravel on the sidewalk, causing the bike to slide into a parked black car. The bike damaged the front turn signal light and the bicyclist left the scene of the accident. An investigation is currently ongoing.
05/06 8:01 p.m. A female resident of Pearce Hall was having difficulty breathing in the women’s restroom on the 10th floor. It appeared that the female was having an allergic reaction to food she had consumed. The female was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center.
05/07 1:40 p.m. An EWU employee in Senior Hall complained about a suspicious male on the premises. A white male, wearing jeans and a leather jacket, was entering classrooms claiming he was looking for his girlfriend and asked for her by name. The male refused to give his name and did not appear to be a student. Once police made contact with the male, they discovered he had two felony warrants out: one for possession of a controlled substance and one for the department of corrections community escape. The male was transported to Spokane County Jail and booked.
05/11 5:54 a.m. A parent reported her daughter missing after she failed to come home following her high school prom with a male EWU student. Eventually police found the missing female at the male EWU student’s room in Dressler Hall. She was told to call her parents and return home immediately.
05/11 11:41 a.m. EWU Police assisted the Cheney Police Department with the removal of an unidentified and unwanted intoxicated male from a residence. A female residing at a residence on 6th Street discovered a male she did not recognize asleep on a couch in her basement. Another male resident of the house claimed that he did not know who the male was or how he got into the house. Once police were able to awaken the male, the male told police that the previous night he had celebrated his 21st birthday and the last thing he remembered was walking away from the bar where he was celebrating. No arrests were made.
