05/12 8:03 a.m. A male EWU student suffered a seizure while in the PUB computer lab. He was transported by AMR to Sacred Heart Medical Center.
05/12 12:28 p.m. A projector was stolen from room 311 in Patterson Hall. The projector was last seen at 1 p.m. on May 9 and was noticed missing at 4:15 p.m. It had a lock attached to the plastic back, but the back was broken to disconnect the lock. The projector was a Mitsubishi brand and was valued at $1,600. No suspects have been found.
05/12 4:07 p.m. Two EWU students who reside together off campus got into a verbal altercation, which had originally stemmed from the use of the community laundry room. The altercation ensued with the two subjects calling each other names. No arrests were made.
05/12 8:17 p.m. A female subject was visiting a friend who was an employee at the Tawanka Commons and had left her purse unattended at a table about 15 feet away from her. When she came to retrieve the purse, she noticed it was missing. Later the purse was found in the men’s bathroom on the west end of the building. The wallet, which contained the female’s IDs and credit and debit cards, was still missing. Three people of interest have been identified, but no arrests have been made.
05/14 1:09 a.m. A CA on the 5th floor of Dressler Hall spotted four males consuming alcohol, some of whom were possibly underage. Once police made contact with the resident of the room, he smelled strongly of intoxicants, was slurring his words and cussing. Police discovered the resident was actually 19 and also found 30 empty cans of Keystone Ice in his trash can. He was cited for MIP and released. The other three males were 21 and were not criminally cited.
05/14 7:39 a.m. An EWU police officer pulled over a female driver after she passed his patrol car in a no passing zone on Highway 904 near the Cheney Rodeo Grounds. After pulling her over, the officer discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle under a suspended license for unpaid traffic tickets. The female was arrested and then cited for DWS and released. She had a friend retrieve her car.
05/14 6:32 p.m. An employee on the ground floor of the PUB heard a loud bang and found a window on the ground floor cracked. A student had ridden a bike down the stairs of the rec center and into the window. The person responsible fled on foot, but left the Trek 7,000 dark blue and silver bicycle behind. The window will cost $500 to replace. There are no suspects at this time.
05/17 3:48 p.m. A two-car collision occurred at the intersection of Washington and 1st Streets. No one was injured, but both vehicles were towed. The driver of the first car was heading southbound on 1st going 35 mph. A truck was blocking the driver’s view when the other vehicle collided with the first car which was coming from Washington. The female driver of the second car was cited for failure to yield.
05/18 10:20 p.m. A male employee of the rec center slipped on water and fell on a table while carrying a bucket of ice to the kitchen. He declined further medical treatment.
