With the end of the school year approaching, Eastern Washington’s clubs and intramurals are preparing for next year with an array of new utilities and facilities. Perhaps the most hyped utility is the field lights. These lights will allow an expansion of other leagues for intramurals.
When Ryan Ballou transferred to Eastern Washington University this year to study journalism, he already had enough of a workload on his back. Ballou, a 31-year-old originally from Harvest, Ala., helped found Spokane Hempfest while also running four other businesses.
The Eastern Washington University football team has been hit with a reprimand from the Big Sky and the NCAA after allegedly violating a rule that states how many coaches a team may use, a Level I secondary violation. A self-report was sent by the University to the NCAA on February 2 containing a letter from Head Coach Paul Wulff in which he said that he has been unaware of the potential violation for the past seven years.
