Since President Arevalo took office, perhaps one of the best examples of this would be in the way that EWU has focused on reach out to first generation college students. Eastern Washington, which has a high rate for high school graduates, has a lower college going rates.
There was once a time when bottled waters could not be found in stores. Now it is rare to see a grocery story without them crowding the shelves. But are such bottles of water really necessary for the students of EWU? Some of the members of the Eastern faculty would say no.
Since the town of Cheney was formed, business licenses have never been required. Cheney’s recent growth and development has prompted the need for two changes that include policies on taxes and business licenses. Cheney has always been an importer of products and services from the Spokane area.
