Poet and author Kevin Kiely, the Fulbright Scholar from Dublin, Ireland and resident at Boise State University, presented “Reflections on Contemporary Ireland” in what was a general overview of the state of Ireland today. An older crowd, which was composed of many faculty and community members, as well as students, took in his presentation last week at the JFK Auditorium.
“Nine Tongues and No Title” is the name of this year’s EWU BFA Senior Exhibition, an art gallery featuring the work of graduating seniors enrolled in Eastern’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Program. The exhibit is currently open and free to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.
EWU faculty member in the School of Social Work and Human Services, Kim Stansbury, has been chosen as one of the 10 inductees nationwide to the Hartford Faculty Scholars Program. It means that Stansbury will be provided with opportunities for professional development and $100,000 in funding over the next two years for research on topics related to improving health and care for older adults and their caregivers.
