Broadcasting & Cable Magazine, Fox News Channel was again the most highly viewed cable news network for the August 2007 ratings period. In primetime, FNC averaged 1.43 million viewers, which was followed by CNN with 967,000 viewers and MSNBC with 512,000. Part of the reason for FNC’s lead position is the fact that they hold the Park Place and Boardwalk of the cable news monopoly: the two shows that have the highest overall ratings are both on Fox.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer recently reported that Lydia Sanders-Chambers has been ordered to serve three years probation on Friday for robbing a bank at gunpoint on Feb. 9, 1981. The first eight months of the sentence will be under house arrest. Sanders-Chambers was reportedly a “drug addict” at the time of the 1981 crime.
