While the requirements for each pathway may differ, an endorsement enables teachers to teach in a particular subject area. Additional endorsements broaden a teacher’s skill set, enabling them to teach additional subjects.
ENGLISH SECONDARY ADD-ON ENDORSEMENT
This low-residency program is 40 credits and intended for K-12 teachers who already hold teaching endorsements in disciplines other than English.
BUSINESS & MARKETING EDUCATION ADD-ON ENDORSEMENT
This endorsement is designed to enable secondary education teachers to teach business and marketing education courses to students in grades 4-12. With the add-on endorsement, students obtain a career and technical education certificate for grades 7-12.
CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION
Plan 2/Business and Industry Route teacher certification is a short program for teacher candidates who possess 6,000 paid industry work experience in a specific area. The certificate allows teacher candidates to teach only in that specific area.
