Message from the Foundation Chairman

As a Foundation board member and alumnus, it is with pride and enthusiasm that I’m sharing my second “Message” as the Foundation Board Chair. This year the Foundation celebrates its 40th anniversary. The Foundation’s scholarship support during these past 40 years has played an integral role in students achieving their academic goals. Sustained growth in scholarship funding and positive market performance during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, resulted in the endowment achieving a record level exceeding $20 million. During the past fiscal year approximately $1million funded over 500 scholarships. While we are pleased with our accomplishments, our goal is to achieve President Cullinan’s “Inspire Awesome” scholarship campaign's three-year goal of $5 million by the end of this fiscal year. With your help, we will make it!

Fundraising success requires a strong fund development team beginning with the generous support of our donors and benefactors. Next, add the volunteer 22-members of the Foundation Board of Directors who commit their time, treasure, and talent to achieving the mission of the Foundation. Lastly, add a veteran Foundation development team of major gift officers and staff. The combined efforts of the fund development team support our mission to support our students in achieving their academic goals.

During the upcoming fiscal year, the Foundation is anticipating and preparing to embrace takeaways developed by the  Phoenix Philanthropy Consultant Group and completion of the current Strategic Planning process. With that in mind, the Foundation's goals include achieving its fiduciary responsibilities through sound governance and increased engagement of our Board of Directors with emphasis on major gift fundraising.

It's a great day to be an "Eagle."
