Running Start and EWU in the High School are programs that provide eligible high school students an excellent opportunity to earn both high school and university credit at little to no cost. Running Start classes are taken at Eastern Washington University and EWU in the High School courses are taken on a student’s high school campus. Credits earned through either program will transfer to any four-year public university in Washington State, as well as most universities across the country. Testing is not required to earn credit. These courses provide high school students a wider range of course options, as well as the chance to experience more challenging or advanced courses. With a staff of dedicated advisors, the Running Start office is here to ensure a smooth transition for students between high school and college life.
