We have two apartment complexes available to enrolled EWU students 21 years of age and older or students 18 years of age and older who can meet one of the following requirements:

  • Will have completed one year of living on EWU’s campus by move-in
  • Transfer students (Running Start not included as transfer students)
  • Graduate Students currently enrolled in an EWU program

Our contract periods run from September to June, with options for summer residency or storage to current residents. Students who move in between these contract dates will be prorated into their contract and their contract will expire June 30.

  • As part of the application process you will be able to search for and match with roommates. You can search by name or have the application suggest roommates for you based on profile questionnaire answers.
  • If you are searching for a roommate and can’t find a specific person here a few tips:
    • Make sure the other person has also applied for housing in the correct academic year
    • Make sure you are not both “Group Leaders” in the application. You will not be able to find one another
  • If you can’t find a roommate, don’t worry we do our best to match students who are unable to find a roommate based on their roommate profile answers.
  • All roommates must request and accept each other by May 1st in order to be placed together. Any roommate matches made after that date cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate requests.

We offer single rooms throughout our buildings. We have a limited amount of single rooms available so if you want a single room, you should apply early so you have the best chance of getting a single room. We will do our best to honor single room requests, but cannot guarantee all single room requests.

  • As part of the application process you will be able to search for and match with roommates. You can search by name or have the application suggest roommates for you based on profile questionnaire answers.
  • ALL students must be eligible (transfer, 21+, graduate, returning students) in order to be assigned together as roommates in the University Apartments.

  • Apartments are rented on a per-bedroom basis, meaning that multiple students will typically live together in the same unit. If you choose to live in the university apartments and do not have a roommate selected, another student will be assigned to the second or third bedroom of your assigned apartment.
  • Residents are not allowed to share bedrooms in the university apartments.
  • You must move into the room that you are assigned

The $125 housing application fee is non-refundable, so you should apply with that information in mind.

We diligently work on our fall move-in plans over the summer. We will post our move-in guide to the website as soon as our plans are finalized. We will send you communication via your EWU email with any steps you may need to take for move-in! We are so excited to have you coming to live with us on-campus!

  • Move-in for the university apartments begins on September 1.
  • Move-in for the residence halls will take place over two days: September (dates to be determined)

We have cancellation penalties prior to move-in in order to help us project our occupancy which allows us to open the right buildings and staff appropriately. You may cancel without penalty until May 31, any cancellations after that date will be subject to cancellation fees. For more information, see our contract cancellation information.

When you apply for housing you sign a contract for the entire academic year. As such, if you move off-campus, you are subject to the contract cancellation penalties. For more information, see our contract cancellation information.

  • We continuously evaluate what buildings we will have open throughout our application process. When you are selecting your preferences as part of the application process, you will see all of our buildings as options, but please understand that we may decide not to open certain buildings based on how many students apply.
  • All university apartments will be open to those who qualify (transfer, 21+, graduate, returning students) for the 2023-2024  and 2024-2025 academic year.

We will update our 2023-2024 rates soon! You can find the rates for 2022-2023 on our pricing page to get an idea of costs.
