About 4 years.
The length of time varies depending on Math & English placement scores, transfer credits and course availability. Most students take 2-3+ years to complete the prerequisite courses and lower division university graduation requirements.
It will take 2 years to complete the upper division nursing requirements once admitted to WSU’s BSN program.
High school students are encouraged to take biology, chemistry and math courses during their junior/senior years to prepare for the BSN prerequisite courses and starting college-level course work.
The Transfer Guide
The Transfer Guide may show how your credits transfer. You can use it to see if courses taken at other schools meet the BSN program prerequisites and undergraduate degree requirements.
If a course equivalency does not show up, this doesn't always mean your credits won't transfer; it may mean no one has transferred from your school before, so course equivalencies have not yet been established.
Like the Transfer Guide, Transferology can show you how your credits will transfer from your previous institution to EWU. You will need to create an account to use Transferology.
BSN prerequisites and the undergraduate degree requirements can be found in the catalog.
Your requirements will be based on the academic year you started at EWU. Be sure to use the catalog for the year you started.
No. You may only apply to one WSU College of Nursing school per application period.
For example, you cannot apply to both the BSN program in Spokane and the BSN program in Yakima in the same application period. However, you could apply to Spokane's program one application period, and then apply to Yakima the next period if you are not admitted to Spokane's program.
Applications for Spring admission are generally due by July 10th.
Applications for Fall admission are generally due by December 20th.
When to apply
If all nursing prerequisites and graduation requirements will be completed in Spring quarter, students should apply for Fall admission to the BSN program.
