Commute Trip Reduction (CTR)
The Commute Trip Reduction Program (CTR) is a state wide effort to reduce air pollution generated by automobiles by cutting down the number of automobiles being driven to work with only one person in them (single occupancy vehicle). At Eastern Washington University, we were mandated to reduce by 35% our number of single occupancy vehicles and traveled miles in 2005. If you have any questions please contact Parking and Transportation Services at 509-359-7275.
Spokane Transit Authority (STA) routes, schedules, and information.
Go to www.MyCommute.org to create a commute calendar. Click on New User near the top of the page, next to the Login. If you work on the Cheney campus only, the worksite passcode is 5LTR. If you work ever on the EWU Spokane campus, you will be a part of WSU’s CTR program and the worksite passcode there is 3LSL. I will monitor both programs for calendar completions. Fill out the commute profile registration form, be sure to use your EWU email not a personal one, then click on Create Commute Profile. It takes you back to the home page where you can log in to fill out your commute calendar.
Beginning September 1, 2015, Parking and Transportation Services rolled out a plan to help EWU achieve goals toward the Commute Trip Reduction Law in the state of Washington. All employees who ride the bus now need to participate in the CTR program by registering and completing a commute calendar monthly. By participating in the program, you will continue to receive the STA free bus benefit EWU provides its employees. If you do create and fill a calendar monthly, by the end of the third month, your EWU ID card will become inactive in the STA bus system. Reactivation will occur once you establish a calendar and complete it regularly. Registering for the CTR Program is easy and only takes a few moments.
