The EWU Sites Theme has several different Page Templates that users can choose from. By utilizing these different templates throughout your site, you can have a design that fits the need of each particular page best.
When users create a new page there are several options to choose from. On the right side of the screen under the “Page Attributes” box, users have access to a drop down menu that can change the template of that particular page.
This theme has four different page templates that a user can choose from
As the name suggests, the Default Template is the standard template set to your pages. This template type is great for standard content, information, pictures, and general usage. For example, this page itself is utilizing the Default Page Template.
Archive Page Template
The Archive Page Template is best utilized to display a cohesive list of the content created on a user’s WordPress Site. The archive will automatically display a list of pages, categories, and recent posts automatically to make life a bit easier on users who would like a page that displays a complete list of their content. An example of this type of page can be found on this site here.
Blog Page Template
The Blog Page Template is a great way to display all of the posts created by users on their particular site. If, for example, a user has a great deal of pages, but then also keeps a steady blog of posts, this page theme would work perfectly for displaying all of the most recent posts for other users to look through. An example of this type of page can be found on this site here.
No Branding Page Template
Similar to the Landing Page Template, the No Branding Template allows users to add information and text on an empty page. The only visible branding entity on the page is the EWU footer at the bottom. Otherwise, the page is completely editable by the user for whatever they may need. An example of this type of page can be found on this site here.
