Search & Apply for Jobs on Handshake

Handshake is EWU's online career management tool for Students and Alumni. If you are a current student and are registered for classes, an account has already been created for you.

  1. Go to the EWU Portal and click on Handshake or go to ewu.joinhandshake.com and log in with your @ewu.edu email and SSO password.
  2. Complete your profile to personalize your experience and get better results. Add your most recent education (EWU) including your major, at least one extracurricular activity, at least one experience entry, and at least one skill. To get started with your profile, click on the drop down under your name and select “My Profile”.
  3. SEARCH for jobs. Click on the "Jobs" tab at the top of the page and use the filters to narrow your results by location and/or show only "On-Campus" jobs. If you've been awarded Work Study, click on "On-Campus" in the filter, and then check the box for “Work Study”.
  4. UPLOAD any requested documents such as your resume, cover letter, and school schedule.
  5. APPLY for multiple positions.

Incoming Students

If you are an incoming student and have not yet registered for classes, DO NOT create a new account. Your account will be available 1-2 business days after you register for classes. If you need access sooner, please contact the Career Center for assistance.

Your usage of Handshake implies your agreement to
these policies and Career Services practices.
