Application Portal opens on first day of the Quarter

The Florence & Earle Stewart Book and Cultural Event Scholarship is offered to students at Eastern Washington University as a way “for students to begin building a personal lifetime library or to experience cultural activities to the symphony, theater, etc.”
Books awarded by this scholarship fund are intended to for personal enrichment of recipient’s personal library and not an academic textbook. Students can apply for scholarship funds up to the maximum award amount to receive one of the following:
One or two books
One ticket to a cultural event plus one book
One ticket to a cultural event
Receiving Your Award
Fall term 2019 deadlines
- Feb. 1st is the deadline to submit an application. Incomplete or late applications may not be processed.
- Beginning Feb. 15th the University College staff will notify by e-mail each EWU student approved by the Committee to receive an award. Then the University College staff will notify the EWU Bookstore of the books to order for each student, as approved by the Committee.
- Mar. 22nd is the deadline for the EWU student to submit their receipt for reimbursement of event ticket they purchased, according to their award approval e-mail from the Committee. Should you need additional time to submit your event receipt for reimbursement please notify Mary Jo Van Bemmel (email@example.com).
EWU Faculty may apply to the Florence & Earle Stewart Scholarship Committee for reimbursement of tickets they will purchase to take a group of students to cultural event during the current term: Faculty Application
